Our Values
Why choose us
Pet gundog training will help working breeds succeed in modern homes. Using fun games to encourage focus and engagement and play to build a strong and confident relationship between owner and dog.
Using reward based training methods will help to build a partnership based on trust and fun which will see you reap the rewards of a focused, confident, well-behaved companion.

If you are looking to channel your dog's natural instincts into fun retrieving and hunting games that you can take out and about with you Fieldwise canines can help.
Pet gundog training isn’t just for gundogs. It can benefit any breed that might be easily excitable, unreliable off lead, tempted by environmental distractions or loves using its nose to find things.

A fun way to spend time with your dog while they get to do what they were bred to do.
We don’t take gundog training too seriously. If you want to teach your dog to retrieve a favorite toy or search and find food instead of training dummys we encourage that. Its all about having fun with your dog.

Charlotte - Trainer
Charlotte has always had a passion
for animals and animal training and has dedicated her life and career to animal training. She has trained birds for free flight, tigers to recall, elephants for health screenings and even trained sealions underwater.

Her dog training journey started way before her zoo career with her first working cocker spaniel Inda. Focusing mainly on obedience training, she enjoyed the relationship and connection that grew between her and Inda.
Charlotte could see Inda would benefit from her breed outlet and so began to dabble in gundog training. With her desire to only use force free training methods Charlotte ended up working with some of the best trainers in the pet gundog field.
Charlotte has trained her own dogs in pet gundog training, agility, scentwork and training for working shoots.

Our Story
Training Methods
Charlotte has spent her career studying animal behaviour and communication. Working with a wide variety of species, from highly intelligent animals to complex social species, has taught her how to understand body language, build positive relationships, and use reward-based training techniques that are tailored to each animal as an individual.
These same principles form the foundation of her dog training approach today, the focus is always on clear communication, trust, and ethical, science-based methods.
Having worked with animals that cannot be forced to cooperate, she knows that the most effective training always comes from cooperation rather than control. That philosophy now guides her work with dogs and their owners, helping create calm, confident companions and stronger relationships between people and their pets.
Training animals that have strong instinct-driven behaviours requires, patience, and an exceptional understanding of body language and emotional state. This unique experience gives Charlotte a unique perspective on dogs who also have breed-specific energy and instinctual needs.
